Its great to be up and running on the TODO page, there's a really exciting event coming up this month on the 13th Dec 2008. London Sinfonietta are celebrating 40 years of their ensemble performing and commissioning contemporary music by new and well known composers. John Cage, Dai Fujikura, Will Gregory and Mira Calix are just a few composers being performed at the 40th Birthday Celebrations. Its an exciting event to really let your hair down and party with artists from all the arts disciplines!
There is music, dance, film, animation, photography and a bar on the night! A Live Radio 3 BBC broadcast from 10pm and three stages to walk between and discover new and exciting pieces being performed. There are three world premiere pieces including a performance by the Culture Collective and Street Genius young artists working with the London Sinfonietta from 9pm.
